Housing Purchases

According to the most recent Harris Poll on consumer spendings, things haven’t changed too much since the month of May. Those expected to buy a new house or a condo are up from 7% to 10%. Those expected to buy a boat or an RV have doubled from 3% to 6% and now 10% of people are expected to start a business. The reason why housing purchases aren’t picking up much more is because people are looking for reassurance, they’re waiting for other people are doing it too. Another reason is that banks are making difficult for people to buy these days, there’s much more investigation regarding the credit score and now even more investigation on the latest foreclosure scandal that employees from large banks haven’t properly reviewed the cases.
If you’re part of that 10% who has bought a house and are looking for a great way and stress-free way to move, call the local Atlanta movers for moving services. We’re backed by four generations of movers and have experience in all types of moves from commercial to residential moves and beyond.

Soldiers Get Mortgage Assistance

According to MSN, Fannie Mae is reaching out to service members to assist them in preventing them from losing their homes. The Atlanta local movers learnt that new services are now available to soldiers facing foreclosure. This includes a new hotline for service members that will guide them in regards to their mortgage options and get them the help they need. Also, the Atlanta moving specialists learnt that families facing the death or injury of a service member on active duty can now get a six-moth forbearance on their mortgage payment through Fannie Mae’s unique hardships guidelines. This forbearance is both for service members as well as their surviving spouses. The mortgage can be reduced or suspended up to six months, as well as the credit bureau also suspended so the credit score doesn’t get affected. Soldiers also have an extra year to apply for the $8,000 tax credit unlike the rest of homebuyers which had the incentive end in April 2010. For soldiers that were on active duty overseas for three months between January 2009 and April 2010, they get an extra year.
